A lifelong international traveler, Jahe translated her love of landscapes into a passion for art. .  During her career as an artist, she has explored printmaking, sculpture, and sketching, but kept returning to her first love, painting.  Over the years, her interests have evolved from impressionist landscapes to an abstract expression of natural beauty, primarily in acrylics and oil.  After taking a break from art for a few years to raise her children and pursue her interest in selling women’s fashion, she returned to full-time painting when she moved to Denver, Colorado, and became inspired by the majesty of the Rocky Mountains.  Surrounded by the dramatic landscapes in Colorado, Jahe has found endless subject material for both impressionistic landscape paintings and abstracts.  By translating the rich mixture of colors, shadows and shapes inherent in the surrounding natural spaces, she has created a visceral collection of vibrant, eye-catching paintings that reflect the wild energy and passion of the Rockies.
