I am a painter, print maker and, most recently I have been making jewelry. The way I see color and space has been influenced by the fact I am a Colorado native. Love of travel has given me depth and insight, which influences how I use those experiences in my work. I work in an intuitive and often whimsical manner. Color, design, and texture are always important ingredients in my work; symbolism relating to icons, banners and ethnic patterns are often found in my finished product. A few brushes of color, a piece of unusual paper or a textured wall can send me on a very creative journey. I try to engage the viewer with hidden surprises whether he or she is interested in contemporary or not. I hope to take the viewer to an imaginary place, or just delight the eye with color and texture. Experimenting with new materials and exploring different cultures is a lifetime project for this creative spirit.
